This program achieves two very important
goals. One, it covers all anyone needs to know about being a better boss,
employee, salesman, colleague, etc, in the areas of cell phones, e-mail, RSVPs,
thank you notes, table manners, tipping, language/grammar, gender and diversity
sensitivity and all related topics. The second goal it achieves is the “gets it”
goal. If people don’t know that you don’t start eating until everyone at your
table is served, that doesn’t hurt or anyone nor do the Etiquette Police arrest
you. However, it shows that that person
doesn’t “get it.” The same is true about gentlemen wearing a hat in the house,
no one is hurt or inconvenienced by a hat wearer, but it announces that the
wearer may not have the required polish and professionalism.
